Public Gardens

The EGGC supports many public gardens in Elk Grove in partnership with the Cosumnes Community Services District and Sacramento Splash Water and Wildlife Education. While we primarily provide gardeners to do the work, we also supplement the money made available by these organizations with donations of our own. These funds go toward purchasing additional roses and other plants and also fund some structural elements, as well as matching funds for grants.

Scholarships

The EGGC provides an annual scholarship to a student attending Cosumnes River College. Students majoring in a variety of horticultural and environmental related disciplines are eligible. Students pursuing 2 and 4 year degrees as well as those working toward certification in a variety of vocational programs are eligible.

It is one of the club's goals to increase the amount of the scholarship that we offer each year.
